British-based busker voted on to Toyota’s Global Street Band
Wojtek Gasiorowski has moved from music-making on the streets of Edinburgh to a high-profile gig tour of New Zealand as one of the six acts voted by the public to form Toyota’s Global Street Band. The band is now on the road and enjoying the islands’ sights, sounds and audience acclaim.

The world’s only original Toyota AA?
The Louwman Museum in the Netherlands is believed to have secured what is possibly the only original pre-war Toyota AA in the world. This example of Toyota’s first passenger car spent most of its life as a farmer’s “workhorse” in Siberia before being rescued. Read more here.

X-cellent Aygo models announced
The Aygo city car range freshens up with two new models in the line-up this summer. The new-look x-cite sports bright blue paintwork and cabin details while the x-pure follows a sparkling white and silver theme. Read more here.

Toyota charges up for USA’s first i-Rodeo
Toyota’s i-Road and COMS compact electric vehicles have been demonstrating their easy public mobility potential in the USA for the first time, with showcase events in California and Texas. Here in Europe, both models are already well established in an urban transport programme operating in Grenoble, France.

Euro 6 diesel power for Yaris
Yaris is the latest model to adopt Euro 6 diesel power, it’s established 1.4 D-4D engine now complying with the international emissions standards. The upgrade brings with it improvements in benchmark fuel consumption and CO2 performance. Read more here.

Paul Van der Burgh has been announced as Toyota (GB) PLC’s new President and Managing Director, replacing Matt Harrison who is moving to the post of Vice President, Toyota Sales and Marketing, Toyota Motor Europe. Read more here.
