Toyota Offers Free Car Wash To Its Customers
During the summer months Toyota customers will be treated to a free car wash while they shop. This is part of a nationwide summer promotion at various shopping centres around the country in which all Toyota customers are eligible for a complimentary car wash by the on-site Toyota Car Wash Team.
Paul Philpott, Marketing Director of Toyota (GB) PLC comments: “We at Toyota feel that our customers should be recognised and rewarded simply for their custom. What better way of doing this than by alleviating the laborious task of washing your car by hand? With Toyota Car Wash we’re surprising our customers in a unique way and building loyalty into the bargain!”
Following successful events in Manchester and Edinburgh, the Toyota Car Wash event continues on 29-30 June at the Metro Centre in Newcastle, 6-7 July at Bluewater in Kent, 13-14 July at Meadow Hall in Sheffield and 27-28 July at Brent Cross in North London. Toyota will take over an area of the car park exclusively for Toyota customers’ park and wash – much to the envy of competitive car owners.
Toyota owners will be able to sit back and relax while their car is pampered or go and do their shopping happy in the knowledge that their car will be sparkling when they return. Each vehicle will be cleaned with a high-pressure hose to loosen any debris and dirt, then hand washed with mild detergent, rinsed off and wiped dry with chamois leather.
Paul Philpott explains how the idea came about: “We want to communicate to our customers in a completely different way that is proactive and outside of any required vehicle maintenance or servicing. Judging by the response to the first events, customers are genuinely flattered by such an unexpected experience.”
