Toyota Prius and Hilux win Car Buyer Used Car Awards
Distinctly different Toyota models have been recognised in the 2023 Car Buyer Used Car Awards, with honours for the hybrid pioneer Prius and the “invincible” Hilux pick-up.
Prius collected the award for Best Used Hybrid, with Car Buyer Editor Richard Ingram commenting: “There’s a good reason you see so many Toyotas lining our city streets. The Prius’s urban fuel consumption is exceptional and has the potential to dramatically slash your fuel bills. Our Best Used Hybrid car arguably makes more sense now than it did when it was new.”
Turning to Hilux, winner of the Best Used Pick-up award, he added: “Pick-up buyers need a vehicle that is practical, versatile and easy to live with. With up to 10 years’ warranty, this is a truck you can depend on.”
Customers for all used Toyota vehicles up to 10 years old or with up to 100,000 miles on the clock can take advantage of a manufacturer’s warranty package that provides 12 months’/10,000 miles’ cover each time they take their car or van to an official Toyota workshop for a qualifying service.
