Toyota Adds A Splash Of Colour
Introduction of Toyota Yaris Colour Collection
Toyota adds a splash of colour to its exciting Yaris range this month with the introduction of the Yaris Colour Collection, priced from £8,495 on the road. The first Yaris Colour Collection model will be available in a stylish deep red metallic paint (Caldera Red) from Monday 21 January.
Over the next 18 months Toyota will release a number of unique Yaris models in the Yaris Colour Collection. The colour collection will be available as a 3-door and 5-door option with 1.0-litre VVT-i engine (manual transmission).
More than a Lick of Paint
Yaris Colour Collection will bring a smile as well as a splash of colour with a high level of equipment fitted as standard. Specification includes leather steering wheel, colour coded bumpers and metallic paint.
The Yaris Colour Collection also comes fitted with unique 14″ wheel trims, radio CD tuner and central locking. To add to the stylish look titanium effect front grille and stylish ‘Elipse’ Grey interior cloth – as featured in the sporty SR model – are also standard.
Brushed with Individuality
Yaris Colour Collection will feature unique ‘Colour Collection’ badging placed in front of the exterior door mirrors. The word ‘Collection’ will be silver coloured and the word ‘Colour’ will be red in line with the Caldera red metallic. Future Colour Collection vehicles will also feature the word ‘Colour’ in the same colour as the vehicle.
Yaris Value
The Yaris Colour Collection 1.0-litre 3-door will be priced at £8,495 on the road, only £300 more than the 1.0-litre GS 3-door yet boasting around £675 worth of extra equipment over the GS.
The Yaris Colour Collection 1.0-litre 5-door will be priced at £8,995, a £500 step-up from the 3-door.
Sales Success
Since its introduction in April 1999, Yaris has been a European success. Wowing customers with its small yet spacious, practical yet stylish appeal, the European Car of the Year 2000 set new benchmarks for the supermini sector.
The versatile Yaris Verso mini-MPV was launched in January 2000, its practicality and driveability attracting Verso customers from young families to a wide range of fleet customers particularly in the public sector. Three years on, success of Yaris does not falter as it continues to attract new customers to the Toyota brand.
In April 2002 Yaris 1.4-litre D-4D diesel will be available broadening the Yaris range by offering customers excellent fuel consumption of up to 64.2mpg and petrol-like performance without compromising on style or practicality. And with the introduction of benefit-in-kind CO2-based taxation, Yaris diesel customers can also enjoy the lowest tax band for diesels of tax band A costing only £110 per year.
