Millie Rodrigues Cova has joined the Toyota and Lexus press team on a student placement for the coming year, taking up the baton from Charlie Smith, who has returned to his marketing degree course at Newcastle University.
Millie, who has just completed her second year studying sociology at the University of Bath, will be supporting all aspects of the Toyota and Lexus press relations operation – communications, events, media reporting and analysis and day-to-day liaison with our media contacts.
“My first impression has been that although Toyota is such a major brand, it retains such a welcoming and family-orientated feeling,” said Millie. “It’s something I am so grateful for, it has helped me settle in with great ease. I am looking forward so much to learning first-hand about how a top-class press office works. I want to take as many amazing opportunities as I can to build my confidence and get as much as I can from my placement year.”
Toyota’s Epsom headquarters are almost a Surrey home-from-home for Millie, whose family live in nearby Caterham. Having previously lived on the Algarve in Portugal, she has a great love of the outdoors, heading off to the South Coast to catch some surfing action or going for long dog walks.
Having passed her test in just three months when she was 17, Millie is a proud Aygo driver but hopes to fulfil her dream of getting behind the wheel of a Lexus LC Convertible.
The press office welcomes Millie to the team and thanks Charlie for his excellent work during the past year, wishing him every success with his studies.
