Corolla Commercial updates

The British-built Corolla Commercial van benefits from some new equipment features and specifications for 2026, led by the addition of a Driver Monitor Camera. This safety feature, being rolled out across all Toyota models, uses a camera to check on the driver’s attention level, sounding an alert if it detects a lack of responsiveness.

There are also a smart new black fabric seat upholstery and two new exterior paint options: Storm Grey metallic and a Sterling Silver premium finish. The conversion to van specification now features steel side window panels, replacing the previous vinyl covering.

Land Cruiser Commercial

Another Toyota Professional product from Toyota’s UK factor at Burnaston, the Land Cruiser Commercial, has been honoured as the market’s best car-derived van in the 2026 What Car? Van Awards. Read more here.

Canine car kit

Toyota is taking care of our canine friends with a range of accessories to keep dogs safe and comfortable when travelling. The range includes onboard crates, mats, harnesses and storage bags. Read more here.

All-new RAV4

The GR Yaris story continues

Ever since the GR Yaris was launched in 2020, Toyota and Toyota Gazoo Racing have constantly looked for ways to make it an even better car. Later this year, the hugely popular hatchback will benefit from further driver-focused details, including a new steering and revised shock absorbers and steering. Read more here.

New Supra heritage parts

The GR Heritage Parts Project is helping keep classic Toyota sports cars on the road by reproducing a key parts. The latest addition to the range is an instrument panel for the A80 Supra, made using modern materials but replicating the finish of the original. Read more here.

TOYOTA CORPORATE

Lumley bats for cricket

Toyota has partnered with actress Joanna Lumley as its Chief Cricket Officer to help inspired people of all ages to become more involved in the sport. In its role as Principal Partner to the England and Wales Cricket Board and Automotive Partner to Cricket Scotland and Cricket Ireland, it has helped launch the new season with a second year of its Good For Cricket prize draw, helping clubs to raise funds for equipment, coaches and facilities. Hydrogen co-operation

Toyota has joined with Daimler Truck and the Volvo Group for potential collaboration in the development of hydrogen fuel cell systems for use in heavy-duty commercial applications. The three manufacturers will look to become equal shareholders in the cellcentric joint venture. Read more here.

Backing band

A grant from the Toyota Community Fund is helping an Essex school upgrade its music facilities which in turn has helped student band The Displacements record their first track. Read more here.

TOYOTA MOTORSPORT  

100 races – in numbers

This weekend Toyota competes in its 100th FIA World Endurance Race as the 2026 season gets under way at the Imola circuit in Italy.

To mark the occasion, Toyota Racing have looked back at the brand’s impressive track record – in key numbers. From kilometres driven (293,796) to Le Mans wins (five), the team’s racing history has been distilled into fascinating statistics.

This year, the team are fielding an unchanged driver line-up but introducing an updated TR010 Hybrid car. Read more here  and here.

Katsuta takes the lead

Takamoto Katsuta has posted back-to-back wins to take an early lead in the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship, driving his GR Yaris Rally1 to victory in the Safari Rally Kenya and Croatia Rally. Team-mate Elfyn Evans lies second in the driver’s championship as the competition prepares to travel to the Canary Islands for the fifth championship round. Read more here and here.

Toyota’s Swedish clean-sweep

Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team posted an exceptional 1-2-3-4 finish on Rally Sweden, with British driver Elfyn Evans leading the quartet of GR Yaris Rally1. Read more here.

TOYOTA MANUFACTURING

Circular Factory delivers results

Toyota’s Circular Factory concept, founded in the UK at the TMUK Burnaston plant, has begun feeding recycled materials into the production process with aluminium from alloy wheels being used in the manufacture of new engine parts. Read more here.
