Toyota Corolla: rated the UK’s number one for reliability
The British-built Toyota Corolla has been named the nation’s most reliable car in the Fleet News FN50 Reliability Awards.
Rather than being the opinion of expert judges, the award is based on the real-world experiences of business fleet operators across the country and the number of days their vehicles have spent off the road during the past 12 months.
This latest award, among many bestowed on the current model, reflects the high quality standards maintained at Toyota’s Burnaston plant in Derbyshire, the European production centre for the Corolla Hatchback and Touring Sports passenger cars and the Corolla Commercial hybrid van.
Reliability is of prime importance to fleet customers who need to be confident that their vehicles will run without problems, day in, day out. With Toyota, this peace of mind is reinforced by an unmatched vehicle warranty, providing cover for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles.
The warranty comprises an initial new vehicle three-year manufacturer warranty, followed by up to a further seven years of service-activated warranty. When the new car warranty period expires, the vehicle can then benefit from an additional 12 months (or 10,000 miles) warranty when their vehicle has a qualifying service at an authorised Toyota workshop. The warranty is provided at no extra cost, up to a limit of 10 years/100,000 miles*.
