Prius delivers lowest emissions yet
The new, fourth generation Prius is set to deliver CO2 emissions from 70g/km – the lowest figure in the history of Toyota’s full hybrid model. The car’s dynamic performance has also been comprehensively improved, as customers will discover for themselves when the new the car goes on sale next year. Read more here.

Toyota ends racing year on the podium
A challenging World Endurance Championship has ended with Toyota Gazoo Racing making the podium in the final race of the season. Read more here.

Global green grants announced
Toyota has announced the latest beneficiaries in its Environmental Activities Grant Programme, with 26 new projects added to the more than 300 worldwide that have been supported over the past 16 years. The activities include biodiversity, conservation and education projects in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. Read more here.

Toyota i-ROAD goes two-up in Tokyo
Toyota’s all-electric i-ROAD three-wheeler continues to undergo road testing driven by members of the public in Grenoble and in Tokyo. The Tokyo trials have just been widened in scope with the two-seat version of i-ROAD now approved by the Japanese government. Read more here.

Toyota’s Kyle Busch takes US racing title
Camry driver Kyle Busch recovered from major injury to claim the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver’s championship. He took the honour thanks to victory in the season finale in Florida at the weekend. Read more here.

Mirai gains grant support
Hydrogen power has been made more affordable with Mirai being accepted as the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to qualify for a Government grant towards the purchase price. Customers buying the zero-emissions Toyota can save £5,000. Read more here.

Innova in Indonesia
Toyota’s Karawang manufacturing centre in Indonesia has celebrated the start of production of a new Innova model. The new car boasts 85 per cent local content, from a growing supply chain. A new engine plant is set to increase Toyota’s activity in the country during the first half of next year. Read more here.
