GT86 Club Series launched with Orange Edition
Club Series is the designation for new, limited-run versions of the Toyota GT86 which amplify the coupe’s immense driving and style appeal. The first model to carry the new name is the GT86 Orange Edition, with a special, deep Solar Orange paint finish and orange and black detailing inside and out. Read more here.
Toyota tweaks Le Mans driver line-up
The driver line-up for Toyota Gazoo Racing’s three-car challenge for this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours has been adjusted, taking into account José María López’s recovery from an accident he suffered competing in the Silverstone round of the World Endurance Championship. The Argentinian driver moves into the No9 car, with Stephane Sarrazin taking his place with Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi in the No7 Toyota for the race in June. Read more here.
New R&D Centre opens
Forty years of Toyota R&D in North America have been marked with the official opening of significantly expanded facilities in Michigan. The new facilities are the result of a $154 million investment programme to unify the company’s US research and development operations. Read more here.

Land Cruiser: now the world’s fastest SUV
A one-off Land Cruiser has smashed the world speed record for an SUV, blasting through 230mph with a top racing driver at the wheel. The 2,000bhp machine was specially engineered for speed by a Toyota technical team in California. Read more here.

Toyota has honoured three UK retailers with Ichiban awards for delivering the highest levels of customer service. The businesses were among just 45 selected from more than 2,000 contenders across Europe. Read more here.
Toyota restroom app
Toyota has launched a new navigation app designed to help disabled drivers and passengers locate accessible public toilet facilities on motorways and major routes in Japan and at many of the country’s top visitor attractions. Read more here.
