2017 Toyota GT86 – media assets

Hot Yaris pictured
A high-performance version of the Toyota Yaris will be launched at this year’s Geneva motor show. First images of the car, powered by a supercharged 1.8 engine producing more than 210bhp, have been released ahead of its official unveiling. Read more here.

Prius awards success
The new Toyota Prius has made a big impact in its first few months on sale, collecting seven awards and titles for safety, family appeal and cost of ownership as well its signature strong environmental performance. Read more here.

Rally return
Toyota is back in World Rally Championship action this weekend after a break of 17 years. Two new Yaris WRC cars will be making their debut at the notoriously challenging Rallye Monte Carlo to launch a full season for the new Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC team. Read more here.

The Toyota i-Concept proved to be a star of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, a car that explores how an on-board AI system could make for a friendlier and more enjoyable relationship between driver and machine. Read more here.

New Camry debuts in Detroit
Camry has been America’s best-selling car for 15 years, so the arrival of an all-new, eighth generation model at the Detroit motor show was big news for Toyota. Akio Toyoda hosted the unveiling of the new version, the first to be built on a Toyota New Global Architecture platform. Read more here.

 Toyota researching hydrogen power potential in the Gulf
Toyota Motor Corporation has agreed to collaborate with industry partners in a joint research programme to explore the potential of hydrogen energy use in the United Arab Emirates. Read more here.

 Best of the Blog: Extreme Toyotas
The Tokyo Auto Salon is a wild celebration of all that’s possible in the aftermarket world and this year’s show featured a host of extreme interpretations of Toyota models, from a 2000GT replica to outlandish interpretations of the new Toyota C-HR crossover.
