Toyota Celebrates Start Of New Auris Production At Burnaston

Toyota’s proud record of manufacturing in the UK reached another landmark today with the official start of production of the all-new Auris at its Burnaston factory. Dr Vince Cable, the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, welcomed Toyota’s continued investment in its UK operations, which will also see the new Auris Touring Sports estate car built at the plant from next year.

Morgan Makes The Top Eight For Toyota At Silverstone

Toyota independent racers Adam Morgan, Frank Wrathall and Tony Hughes overcame a host of difficulties at Silverstone today to score more valuable Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship points, with series rookie Morgan shining at the wheel of his Speedworks Motorsport Avensis in the final race of the day to secure another personal best.
