New Mirai prices pegged

Toyota to go Beyond Zero with bZ4X

Hydrogen on the racetrack
Toyota is testing a new hydrogen combustion engine by fitting it in a race car that will compete in one of Japan’s toughest events. The new engine is being used in Corolla Sport in the 2021 national endurance racing series, which include a 24-hour challenge at the Fuji circuit. Read more here.
Co-operation on connected services
Toyota has reached an agreement with fellow manufacturers Suzuki, Subaru, Daihatsu and Mazda to work together on the technical specifications of next generation vehicle communications devices and promote common use of communications systems using connected services. Through this co-operation they aum to provide safer and more convenient connected services to customers. Read more here.
Targeting carbon-neutral logistics
Toyota and Aeon Global SCM (supply chain management) are continuing to consider collaboration on new initiatives in logistics to tackle issues of how to achieve carbon neutrality and increase in supply chain efficiency. Read more here.
First major deal for Toyota’s Woven Planet
Toyota subsidiary Woven Planet investment business has made its first major deal, agreeing to acquire Level 5, the self-driving division of Lyft, one of the world’s largest ride-hailing companies. This will bring together world-class scientists and software engineers from level 5 and Woven Planet, and researchers from Toyota Research Institute (TRI) in a “dream team” of talent, technology and an international footprint.
