Toyota Sponsors the Parallel London Family Festival
A day of fully inclusive activities and entertainment at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Toyota GB is pleased to announce that is a sponsor of Parallel London, a fully inclusive day of activities and entertainment at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday, 4 September.
Parallel London is the first event of its kind in the world, bringing together thousands people of all abilities for a push/run/fun run/wheelchair ride in a celebration of diversity four years on from the London Paralympics.
Toyota is the lead sponsor for the festival’s Active Lifestyle Zone, one of six different themed parts of the festival. This will feature a wide range of entertainment, attractions and workshops throughout the day, focusing on inclusive family fun. In addition, Toyota is also providing Parallel London with a fleet of vehicles to support the organisation and running of the event.
Alan Jennings, Toyota’s Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, said: “Helping meet the mobility needs of everyone in society is a driving principle within Toyota worldwide, making our sponsorship of Parallel London a natural choice, as it challenges physical boundaries and celebrates both individual achievement and the community spirit that it inspires.”
Parallel London’s push/run challenges encourage all ages and abilities to come together to run, walk, wheel, push or be pushed at the world-famous Olympic Park. Anything goes; there are no cut-off times or equipment restrictions and anyone who needs a helping hand can bring a buddy free of charge. There is a distance to suit everyone: 10km, 5km, 1km or 100m, plus a Super Sensory 1km which gives participants multi-sensory experiences along the course, from sounds and smells, to textures and colours.
