Aygo X – new images available 

New images have been released of Aygo X, Toyota’s upcoming small SUV. The pictures are now available to view and download on the Toyota media website here.  

Self-drifting car on track 

Toyota Research Institute has developed a GR Supra that can drift on a race track autonomously. The project has a specific purpose in helping achieve safer mobility by developing autonomous control can operate consistently at the limits of a car’s performance. Read more here

Record-breaking Yaris Cross 

The new Yaris Cross set a new record for fuel economy in the What Car? True MPG test with a 60.1mpg overall result and 103.3mpg in the town cycle. The results are an independent validation of the efficiency achieved by Toyota’s self-charging hybrid electric system. Read more here

Commercial break 

Order books have opened for Corolla Commercial, the UK’s first self-charging hybrid electric van. Built at Toyota’s Burnaston plant in Derbyshire, the new model is being launched in a single version that carries over many high specification features from the Touring Sports model on which it’s based. Hydrogen on track 

Toyota is providing its hydrogen fuel cell technology to a rail consortium to help develop trains that can run on electricity when overhead cables aren’t available. The technology is an extension of that used to power the Mirai saloon, contained in modules that are compact and simple to install in rolling stock. Read more here

Toyota Gazoo Racing is helping keeping classic models in top-class condition with its heritage parts programme. The world-famous Land Cruiser 40 is the latest model to be supported with a new range of precisely engineered reproduction parts. Read more here

Gazoo Racing was centre stage at the Tokyo Auto Salon, teasing future GR GT3 and all-electric bZ4X GR Sport concepts, plus a Japan-only GRMN Yaris. Read more here.
