Future engine tech collaboration 

Toyota has joined fellow manufacturers Subaru and Mazda to commit to developing new engines that can be integrated with motors, batteries and other electric drive units. The intention is to transform vehicle packaging with more compact engines that will also be compatible with a range of carbon-neutral fuels. Read more here

Destination Moon 

Toyota is working with Japan’s space agency to develop the Lunar Cruiser, a vehicle designed for exploring the surface of the Moon. For the latest technical updates, read more here. 

Land Cruiser latest 

Toyota has released details of the all-new Land Cruiser’s UK model line-up and pricing. The range offers two versions – Invincible and First Edition – and the first cars are expected to be with customers from September. Read more here. 

Hydrogen Hilux 

The project to explore the potential for the Toyota Hilux pick-up to use a hydrogen fuel cell system has reached its final phase with prototype vehicles undergoing evaluation and demonstrations. The vehicle has been developed in the UK by a Toyota-led consortium. Read more here.  

Corolla on the beat 

The Toyota Corolla has made the grade as an approved police vehicle. A dedicated team at Toyota’s Burnaston factory worked in collaboration with constabularies to produce a car that meets stringent operational requirements. Read more here

30 years of RAV4 

It’s 30 years since the first RAV4 hit the road, a first-of-its-kind model that’s now firmly established as one of the world’s best-selling cars. As the original recreational SUV, it also has a history of embracing advanced powertrain technologies. Read more here

Toyota’s Power of Choice event is running throughout the UK during June, a promotion that gives qualifying new car customers a £1,000 voucher to spend on their choice of Toyota products and services. Read more here
