Toyota Fleet Reduced By 56 Tonnes

Toyota (GB) PLC is turning its fleet team green by giving them Toyota Prius company cars. A saving of 56 tonnes of CO2 is achieved because Prius produces one tonne less CO2 than the best D-segment diesels on the market*.

Worldwide Prius Sales Top 500,000 Mark

Toyota has announced that worldwide cumulative sales of the Toyota Prius, the world’s first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, have passed the half-million mark, with 504,700 units having been sold by the end of April this year.

Triple Crown For Prius

For the third year in succession, the 1.5-litre petrol engine of the Hybrid Synergy Drive has won best 1.4-1.8-litre engine in the International Engine of the Year awards and has also been named ‘Best Fuel Economy’ for its application in the Toyota Prius.

Toyota has made its mark on Britain with Prius, Toyota’s hybrid car. Starting from the Toyota plant at Burnaston, Derby, volunteers from the Toyota Enthusiasts Club drove around central England on a route that traced out the shape of the Toyota logo.
